This project, titled "Sade for Sade's Sake" is a 3-channel video installation based on a misreading of video artist

Paul Chan's work by the same title. Where he had made reference to Marquis de Sade, I am referencing pop

R&B group Sade. In an effort to create an ecstatic and sensual experience I hope to not only stretch the borders

of relevant art historical references but also to create an experience that feels more like a gift than many works

by myself and my peers which rely heavily on the contexts provided by contemporary art history and theory.

This homage was created not with irony but with the highest hope of a joyful homage.
